Privacy Policy

The Entertainment Industry Foundation (“EIF”) owns and operates this Web site, located at somosonevoice.com, which is offered by EIF in partnership with Somos Una Voz, LLC. This statement discloses EIF’s privacy practices for somosonevoice.com, which accepts donations and provides information, resources, and data intended to raise awareness and funds for the Somos Una Voz charitable campaign. EIF reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, and will notify visitors of such changes by posting the updated policy on this Web site. This privacy policy does not apply to other Web sites or services of EIF or of Somos Una Voz, LLC.

Information Collection and Use
On certain pages of this website, in particular when donating online or registering for a special event, visitors may be asked to list their name, email address, postal address, other personal contact information and credit or debit card information (“Personally Identifiable Information”). We may also collect telephone numbers, for example, if you choose to donate via text message. Visitors are not required to provide Personally Identifiable Information in order to browse this Web site and obtain valuable information. The Entertainment Industry Foundation takes reasonable precautions to protect our users’ Personally Identifiable Information and EIF will not sell, share or exchange Personally Identifiable Information with any other organization or individual in any way other than as disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

Commitment to Our Donors
EIF will not sell, share or trade our donors’ Personally Identifiable Information with any other organization or individual in any way other than as disclosed in this Privacy Policy, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations unless a donor has given us specific permission to do so. This policy applies to all Personally Identifiable Information received by EIF through somosonevoice.com, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications sent to EIF through somosonevoice.com. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ Personally Identifiable Information will be used only to process the donation.

Security
When our donation form asks users to enter Personally Identifiable Information, that information is encrypted and is protected with encryption software – – Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). We protect the security of your information during transmission by using SSL software, which encrypts information you input. EIF does not store or use credit card numbers for any purpose other than to obtain donations authorized by visitors to our Web site.

While we use SSL encryption to protect Personally Identifiable Information online, we also take additional steps to protect Personally Identifiable Information off-line. For example, only employees who need the information to perform a specific job function (for example, our shipping assistant in the case of forwarding requested materials or other authorized staff members) are granted access to Personally Identifiable Information. Furthermore, all relevant employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices.

If you have any questions about the security of our Web site, you can send an email to info@eifoundation.org.
